Blind Flanges

VEFLOX engineers high-pressure blind flanges designed to securely terminate the ends of piping systems, valves, and pressure vessel openings. Forged as a solid steel disk with no center bore, our blind flanges withstand severe mechanical bending stress, providing absolute fluid isolation while allowing straightforward access for future line expansion or maintenance.

Detailed Technical Specifications

Flange Profile
Standard Blind (BLRF/BLFF): Solid forged disk used to cap standard pipe ends.
Spectacle Blind (Figure-8): Reversible line blind (one solid end, one open ring) used for temporary or regular operational line isolation.
Dimensional Standards

Alloy & Exotic: ASTM A182 F11, F22, F51 (Duplex), Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy
Facing Types
Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF), Ring Type Joint (RTJ). Precision machined gasket surfaces (125-250 AARH standard finish).
Bore Schedule
N/A — Blind flanges are manufactured without a center bore.
Manufacturing Process
Closed-Die Drop Forged to ensure a dense, defect-free grain structure capable of resisting extreme central bending stress.

Core Advantages

Maximum Stress Tolerance

Because it lacks a center bore, a blind flange is subjected to the highest internal bending stresses of any flange type. Our forging process ensures absolute structural rigidity at the dead-center.

Accessible Line Termination

Unlike welded pipe caps, blind flanges allow a pipeline to be safely terminated while retaining the ability to quickly unbolt the joint for internal inspection, pigging, or cleaning.

Future Expansion Ready

Engineers frequently cap manifolds and main headers with blind flanges to "future-proof" the system, allowing pipelines to be easily extended later without cutting steel.
